Oozma Kappa

First time in a long time I went to see a movie so Monsters University of course was well deserved.  I tried to not watch too many trailers or teasers for this movie. (I did not want to spoil it when I saw it, I.e. I didn't want to see all the funny parts in the commercials) I have to say I was not disappointed.

This movie was fantastic  a true disney classic.  I am always iffy on sequels or in this case prequels.  Disney's last prequel that I remember was kind of a let down (Ariel's Beginning).

Monsters University is definitely one for the ages in all aspects of   the phrase.
This is a movie ALL ages will enjoy young, old, and everything inbetween.  It a movie that families will be watching years from now and generation after generations will be able to enjoy this classically funny and whimsical film.  It really is a thing of beauty.

Lets just take a moment to appreciate the quality and work that has gone into this film.  The scenery is truly fantastic and quite literally out of this world.  I recall from Monsters Inc. that there are over 2.3 individually animated hairs.  I sure this to be the case in this movie as well. As always Disney is at the top of technological advances and is always setting the bar for quality!

Which character are you?  Let me know in the comments!

The story line is well developed and one that everyone can relate to as well and learn something (just like Disney to make learning fun).  I have to say that watching the characters interact and all the events taking place brought me to college a place that I haven't been to in while.  The storyline did kind of remind me of Revenge of the Nerds (absolutely hilarious, a must see) but at least this one is for all ages and a true underdog triumph adventure.

Overall excellent movie a must see.  One that I will surely buy.  My husband was doing his goofy laugh (the one you only hear when he thinks something is extremely funny).

Favorite Character: Art, hilarious as well as versatile. Also, very cute!
Favorite Scene:  Oozma Kappa initiation scene

This is totally unrelated to this movie but it is related to Pixar and I found it to be a good read.  The Pixar Theory

56 Days!

So I have done some major planning today.

I not only have restaurant reservations from before now I have a day by day, hour by hour plan.  This in no means that the plan will be stuck to but hey a girl can dream.  The following is what our 7 day plan looks like.  Complete with restaurant reservations. (I am sure I will have to change the plan multiple times before it is complete) Click on the link to look at the itinerary

Please let me know in the comments if you have any suggestions. (i.e. rides I don't have on my list, or places to eat)

Note: some rides are repeated, this is in case we don't get to the ride the day before!

There is no way I am kissing a frog and eating a bug in the same day!

Today's movie pick...

You guest it The Princess and the Frog.  Excellent film the most recent cartoon animated film for the theatres.  This was a breath of fresh air when it came to theatres.  Disney had taken a break from making cartoon animated films and then decided to go back to their roots (Good Move). A great spin to the classic tale.  I love that Disney takes classic tales puts a Disney twist on it.  I am looking forward to this in the upcoming film Frozen.

I believe this film came out around Christmas time.  I remember going to see it with my boyfriend at the time (Husband now).  Now every time I watch it I am reminded of a time when we hadn't been together that long and we didn't know we would be here today.  Soon after we saw the film in the theatre.  Steve left for Cali for a job.  Leaving me at home needing to finish school.  Long story short we got married and lived happily ever after.  All by wishing on a star!

With all that said, I love this movie.  Although Prince Navine is not my favorite prince he is definitely an excellent prince.   He has a great accent and loves jazz music enough said.  Tiana was a great addition to the Disney Princesses.  I love the fact that Disney focused on her being a hard worker.  Lets be honest a little hard work never hurt anybody and hard work makes an easy life!

Favorite song:  When were human
Favorite Character: Ray
Favorite scene:  Tiana's and Navine's Wedding scene
